Celebration of World Water Day on March 22
In celebration of World Water Day on March 22, Raad Society organized an interactive and inspiring school activity at Galkayo Primary School. Students actively engaged in group work through drawings and presentations, each team creatively expressing the importance of water in our daily lives. Their artwork told powerful stories:- One group illustrated rainfall, highlighting the natural source of water and its role in sustaining life. Another group drew a girl drinking water, emphasizing the importance of safe and clean drinking water. A third group depicted a mother carrying water, reflecting the daily realities and challenges many families face in accessing water. Through these creative expressions, students raised awareness about water conservation, hygiene, and the inequalities surrounding water access. Their ideas strongly reflected this yearβs theme, "Where water flows, equality grows", demonstrating a deep understanding that access to water is not just a basic need, but a matter of dignity and social equity.
