Raad Society (RS) is a non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political humanitarian organization established on October 10th, 2024 in Garowe, Puntland, Somalia. The name “Raad” means “footprint” in Somali—symbolizing impact, legacy, and lasting change. RS was founded by Somali humanitarian professionals determined to leave a visible and meaningful footprint by improving access to clean water and sanitation, enhancing protection and dignity, and strengthening community resilience against climate shocks.
